Synchronous Sound is sounds that are synchronized with what is viewed. Asynchronous Sound doesn’t match the source on screen. Non diegetic sound doesn’t belong to the characters’ world, it comes from a source outside of the story. Sound Perspectives are used to create a more realistic sense of space. Sound overall gives dimension to the scene and makes the visuals more realistic. The directions for the Sound Project required us to come up with a 1-2 minute school appropriate scene that can actually happen in 1-2 minutes and we had to create a detailed outline that explains the sounds, and we could only use seven words. The instructions also said that no video was allowed, and out video had to be at least 1 minute but not exceed 2 minutes, and 4 sound effects had to be created by using random objects on a foley stage. During the brainstorming project I thought of a scenario that could happen in 1-2 minutes and could be made using foley sounds and sounds from a database. The outline helped me organize my sounds because I numbered the sounds in my outline, so I knew the order of the sounds, and everything was pieced together well. The editing resource I used was iMovie. What I think was done well was the sounds were placed together well and the order I put the sounds in was done well. I would like to improve my creativeness and the quality of the sounds.
