The film Descendants 2 portrays representation in so many different ways. In th film Descendants 2 the main characters and Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay. These 4 characters are all represented differently because they are different and come from different backgrounds.
Mal is portrayed as the bad girl who doesn't follow rules and steals candies from babies. In this film the creators of descendants 2 have made Mal seem like the villain in all of the movies when she is just trying to fit in and be happy.
Carlos is portrayed as the tough and strong guy in Descendants 2. The way Carlos is portrayed makes it seem like he can do most of the fighting and that the girls cannot because of the way his character is portrayed.
Evie is portrayed as the really sweet and kind girl in Descendants 2. Even though Evie came from a tough background, and she is portrayed as like the girl who can’t really do much. Evie can do a lot even though she isn’t presented like she can.
Jay is presented as another tough guy who can fight. Jay also comes from a hard background, but he is portrayed like he can fight but he's also portrayed as he can’t really speak up for himself and is shy.
